MoEFCC invites application for the post of Member Secretary CZA

Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC) has invited applications for the post of Member Secretary, Central Zoo Authority (CZA). CZA is a statutory body constituted by the Central Government (MoEFCC) under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972. The mandate of CZA is to oversee and monitor the management of zoos in the country and to ensure their development on scientific lines. Member Secretary would also be the CEO of the CZA.

Essential Qualification for the post is the Master’s Degree in Zoology or Life Science, Wildlife Biology or Veterinary Science , PhD and minimum 26 yrs of regular service (23years for PhD) in group ‘A’ Post or Indian Forest Service Officers serving at least as a Chief Conservator of Forest or Equivalent with 26 years of service.

Another desirable qualification is the Experience in the formulation of policies and programme on matters relating to wildlife conservation in the Central Government or International Organisations. Only persons of 55years or less can apply.
