Mother Dairy enters into bread segment

Indian Dairy giants are di-versifying their business to score higher turnover. Last month dairy major Amul launched its edible oil brand and on Thursday Delhi based Mother Dairy made its entry in bread market.

Mother Dairy has launched three types of bread- Sandwich bread 500 gm pack price Rs 30 and 700 gm pack is Rs 40, Brown bread 400 gm pack price Rs 30 and fruit & milk bread 150 gm pack price Rs 15.

On this occasion managing director of Mother Dairy Fruits and Vegetables, Sangram Chaudhary said: “We are di-versifying into confectionery and bakery segment with the launch of our bread”. Elaborating on companies business he informed that at present dairy`s current annual revenue is about Rs10,000 crore and we are targeting to reach  Rs 25,000 crore turnover by 2025.

On this occasion business head of  Dairy products, Sanjay Sharma said that currently our bread is made by a third party and will be sold through companies 1800 outlets.
