ANIMAL WELFARE PROGRAMMES FOR KARNATAKA STATE SOON

S. P. Gupta, Chairman, Animal Welfare Board of India(AWBI)  along with Grish J. Shah , Sunil Mansinghaka and Shri Ram Krishan Raghuvanshi ,Members of the Board handed over the agenda on animal welfare issues and prevention of cruelty to animals to H.D.. Kumarswamy , Chief Minister of Karnataka  today.

Major focus of this meeting was problems of stray animals, gochar land, activation of State Animal Welfare Board(SAWB), illegal slaughtering, animal sacrifice, transport of animals in violation of law/ rules and regulations etc. Karnataka CM is an animal lover  has assured that the Agenda items  on animal welfare of the AWBI will be implemented on priority basis  to save the animals in Karnataka  .

The AWBI team led by Chairman, AWBI also met Governor, Shri    Vajubhai  Rudabhai Vala and explained  the objectives and current planning the Board, he was very much impressed on animal welfare  schemes of the AWBI and  he shared his animal welfare experience . He has also assured to support on animal welfare matter. During the meeting media advisor , Mital Khetani and Dr.S.K .Mittal were also present .
