Former AWBI media head Dr RB Choudhary nominated as Advisor UP Gou Seva Ayog

The animal welfare researcher and communicator, Dr R B Chaudhary has been nominated as Advisor by U P Go Seva Aayog, an organisation functioning for cow protection and Gaushala development under special attention of the  UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath who is an Animal Lover and former Member of the Animal Welfare Board of India(AWBI). Dr Chaudhary will function as Media/ Education Advisor of "UP Go Seva Ayog" to educate, aware and sensitize the grass-root workers working for the protection of cow and its progeny abandoned on the road.

Dr R B Chaudhary is an animal nutritionist who had developed a technique to improve the poor quality fodder into cheapest and nutritious feed for bovine animals. His Doctorate work on misuse of Oxytocin hormone for milk let down made responsible to ban the misuse of a scheduled drug. He worked with AWBI  about 30 years in various capacities like animal welfare education officer, Chief Editor- Public Relation Officer and  Assistant Secretary. He has been  Education Officer with RSPCA, UK  for more than 3 years. He has also served as Faculty Head of the National Institute of Animal Welfare, Government of India.

For his outstanding contribution in the field of animal welfare research, education and communication, he has been awarded Krishi Vigyan Parishad Puraskar(1982), Rishabh Puraskar (2001), Animal Welfare Fellowship Award (2004) and Achievement Award of the Newspapers Association of India( NAI) in the year 2013. Dr Chaudhary is currently engaged in book writing on animal welfare and editing a very popular journal on "Animal Welfare", a favourite publication of animal lovers. He is also advisor of a National Award Winner NGO - "Samast Mahajan" for Training, Media and Education.
