Assam: Veterinarian appointed as Director Animal Husbandry

Assam government has appointed Dr. Anoop Kumar Das from the Department of Animal Husbandry as the new director of the department. He replaced Adhar Bhuyan who is an administrative officer of the Assam government. A sense of jubilation and relief felt at the department following the appointment of a Veterinary doctor as the director Animal Husbandry.

Talking to Pashu Sandesh Assam Veterinary Doctors Association’s Dr. Deka termed this appointment as the justice to the coveted post. In the month of April Assam government appointed Adhar Bhuyan from Assam Administrative Services as the director of the Animal husbandry department and since then Assam Veterinary Association was demanding justice to the post. Finally, Assam government had to heed to the demand of the Vets resulting in the appointment of Dr. Anoop as the Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry.
