Dr Vinod Kumar Verma is the new VC of LUVAS

Dr Vinod Kumar Verma, head of the department of pharmacology, has been appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar. He is replacing the current VC Dr Gurdial Singh whose term ended on 20th Jan 2022. Dr Gurdial was appointed as VC in March 2017.

Dr Verma started his services as Assistant Professor in the university in 1993 and got promoted as Professor in 2009. He has been serving as the Head of the department of veterinary pharmacology since 2014.

The LUVAS Teachers Association (LUVASTA) congratulated Dr Verma on being appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of the university. Congratulating him, LUVASTA president Dr Ashok Malik said the university would progress further under his leadership.

LUVAS under the leadership of Dr Gurdial Singh has seen many sea changes which included timely completion of Civil project works, New recruitments, up-gradation of the Departments, Digitalisation of the working of LUVAS, support for quality research and extension work.
