Disaster Management in Livestock Training held at RAJUVAS

A 10 day training program on Disaster Management in Livestock was concluded on Thursday at RAJUVAS. A team of 27 members from Rajasthan State Disaster Response Force had participated in the training program. Certificates were distributed to the participants on successful completion of the training program by the chief guest of the function Prof. Tribhuvan Sharma, Dean of the Veterinary College at the auditorium of Animal Disaster Management Technical Center of RAJUVAS.

Providing relief to the Livestock in an event of Disaster should be considered as a great service to the Nation as any such event can lead to great losses to the nation. RAJUVAS is been imparting training in this regard and this is the first time when the personnel from the State Disaster Response Force were given the training as informed by the Dean student Welfare of Veterinary College Prof C S Goswami.

In-charge of training the chief scientist of Animal Disaster Management Technical Center Dr Praveen Bishnoi informed that, during the 10 day Training program participants were given training on the First Aid of the Animals in the event of a disaster apart from 4 daily lectures by the specialists from the field of Animal Disaster Management. Two more batches of the personnel from State Disaster Response Force would be given training in the near future.

A booklet will be published containing the lectures and the techniques imparted by the specialist during this 10 day training program.
