SVVU Tirupati gets UGC 12b status

Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) Tirupati has been included in the prestigious list of Universities under section 12b of University Grant Commission (UGC). Universities listed under 12b section of UGC become eligible for grants from Central Government Agencies for the development.

SVVU has been trying since long for the UGC recognition and a team of eminent members from the UGC had visited the SVVU in the month of December 2017 and based on their report the Veterinary University has been awarded this Status. Vice Chancellor of the SVVU Dr Y Haribabu praised all the Faculty members and staff of the SVVU for their hard work for this splendid achievement. Now hopefully with the new grants coming in the SVVU should be able to perform cutting edge researches in the field of Veterinary Science.
