Haryana Government has notified to establish the Haryana Veterinary Council. The Council will function as per the provisions in Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984.
While giving this information, an official spokesman said that the council would consist of members namely, Dr Kulwant Singh Chahal, Dr Jagdeep Yadav, Dr Shakti Singh and Dr Dharmvir Singh while the Dean, College of Veterinary Sciences, Lala Lajpat Rai University and Animal Sciences, Hisar, Director General, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Haryana Panchkula and Registrar, Haryana Veterinary Council, would be its Ex-Officio Members.
As per the statement of the spokesperson, the nominated members by the State Government would be Dr Narender Yadav, Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Nuh, Mewat, Dr Neelam Arya, Sub Divisional Officer, Animal Husbandry Department, Faridabad and Dr Dalip Sangwan, Deputy Director (Retired) Charkhi Dadri whereas Dr Shreebhagwan, Veterinary Surgeon, Government Veterinary Hospital, Kharkhoda, Sonipat would be the nominated member by State Veterinary Association.
He also said that the council would meet at least twice in a year at such time and place as might be appointed by the Council and the minutes of meetings would be sent directly to the State Government. The headquarter of the Haryana Veterinary Council would be at Panchkula and its term of office would be as per the provisions of Section 38 of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, he added.
