GOI constitutes National Advisory Committee for Animal Husbandry sector

To recommend, prescribe and advise policies relating to Animal Husbandry,For dairying, poultry, piggery, goatry and other livestock sectors & matters, the Government of India constituted a National Advisory Committee for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and allied sectors.  An official memorandum regarding the constitution of this committee is released by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MFADH), on the 5^th of July 2022.

The National Advisory Committee will be chaired by Union Minister (MFAHD) and co-chaired by the minister of state (MFAHD). Secretary (AHD) will act as an esteemed member of the committee along with the Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretaries and Statistical Advisor of DAHD, GoI will be its members. Dr O.P. Chaudhary, Joint Secretary, DAHD, GoI will act as Member secretary of the committee and plan Coordination Unit of DAHD, GoI will provide all secretarial assistance to the
Committee. The Committee will meet once every quarter and at least four times in a financial year.
