Produce cow’s milk and get a prize of 51000 Rs

Produce cow’s milk and win a prize of 51000 Rs. This is an incentive offered by the UP’s Yogi Government to boost production of Cow’s milk in the state.

In order to preserve and upgrade indigenous breeds, UP government took the decision in the cabinet to start “Nand Baba” prize for the highest producer of milk from the desi breed of cows. These prizes would be given at Block, District and State level.

For winning the Prize the producer has to produce minimum 1500 list of milk in a year to be able to become an eligible candidate for a prize money 5100 Rs at Block level, 21000 Rs at District level and 51000 Rs at the State level respectively. Winner would also get a Certificate and a shield along with the cash prize.

Spokesperson for the Government Siddharthnath  Singh informed about this scheme of the government. As per Siddharthnath the process of selection will be done by the committees headed by the block development officer at block level, DM at the district level and CMD PCDF at the State level. The farmer should also be a registered  member of the Dairy Cooperative.

UP Government has allocated a fund of Rs 51 Lakhs for the prize money for FY 2018-19. Incidentally UP is the largest milk producing state in the country. Recently at a function CM Yogi had announced revival of the Cow’s milk processing units and compete with the private players in the cow milk processing business.
