COMPASSION IS THE SOUL OF ANIMAL WELFARE: Dr Neelam Bala

The first batch of three days AWBI training programme (9 to 11 July 2019) for Honorary State / District / Legal Animal Welfare Officers of the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) concluded on 11.07.2019 at its Headquarters at NIAW Campus Sikri, Ballabhgarh, Faridabad (Haryana) today wherein 32 participants attended the training programme.

Dr Neelam Bala, Secretary, AWBI during her address to the participants told that we must be sensitized to understand the pain and sufferings of the animals and then only we can serve them better. She also said that the participants were looking more compassionate and sensitized after attending this 3 days Honorary Animal Welfare Training programme. She expressed her gratitude to all the participants who came all the way to get this training and volunteering themselves for the service of our animal friends on an honorary basis and thanked them for their interest in the noble cause of animal welfare.

She wished all the participants all the very best for their future endeavours in the field of animal welfare. She distributed the certificates and identity cards to the participants.Dr. T. Vasantha Lakshmi, Chairperson / Chief Functionary, Vasantha Lakshmi Charitable Trust & Research Centre, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh and Dr. Inderjeet Yadav, Veterinarian In-Charge, Animal Facility, National Brain Research Centre, Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, Dr. S. Bharat Kumar, Humane Education Officer and Dr.R. Sumathy, Veterinary Surgeon & Training Coordinator were also present during the valedictory session of the 3 days training programme.
