As per the latest Indian Veterinary Practitioners’ Register (IVPR), there are 73,129 registered
veterinary practitioners in the country, with the highest 9,971 in Maharashtra followed by 6,562 in Uttar Pradesh and 5622 in Tamil Nadu. State-wise number of registered veterinary practitioners as of on31/03/2020 is as follows-
