Pashu Mitra Welcomes New Editorial Team Members: Invites More Talent

Pashu Mitra, India's renowned bilingual Hindi-English magazine dedicated to animal welfare, has appointed four committed animal enthusiasts to its editorial team for the 2025-2027 term. This initiative, part of a significant campaign to amplify voices on animal welfare, science, and the emotions of animals and birds, aims to strengthen the publication's impact.
The selected editors include:

Mrs. Nirupama Sharma, Associate Editor (News & Feature Service, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh)
Professor (Dr.) Rahmat Ali, Editor (Animal Welfare Science: National & International Research, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh)
Dr. Amarnath Jaiswal, Editor (News & Feature Service, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh)
Mr. Rajkumar Nayak, Editor (Gaushala Management & Organic Farming, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh)

On this occasion, Pashu Mitra's Chief Editor (Former Chief Editor/Assistant Secretary/Faculty Head – NIABW-Dr.) R.B. Chaudhary stated that the new team is fully committed to ensuring high-quality content selection, presentation, and effective outreach to the public.
He further noted that all editorial members have been provided with official appointment letters, identification cards, and visiting cards. Additionally, each member has been allocated two pages per issue for news and articles. A brief biography, accompanied by a photograph, will be published in every edition. Editors demonstrating exceptional service over the two-year period will be honored with the "Pashu Mitra Samman" award.
Dr. Chaudhary also announced that starting January 2026, Pashu Mitra will be published in separate Hindi and English editions to broaden its reach. The editorial board invites additional writers and editors to join this animal welfare science writing campaign. Interested candidates may apply by the first fortnight of February 2026.
