Thanks to collective effort, A Vet is now Director AH in Telangana

Dr S. Ramchander, Managing Director, Telangana State Sheep & Goat Development  Cooperative Federation Limited (TSSGDCFL), Hyderabad has been given full additional charge (FAC) of the post of Director, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Department (V&AHD), Telangana State on 04/12/2021.

Earlier, Dr V.Lakshma Reddy who was the Director, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Telangana, Hyderabad had retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.07.2020 AN. Later on, he continued as Officer on Special Duty against the post of Director, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry for a period of one year from the date of reporting to duty on a contract basis with a consolidated remuneration.

After completion of the tenure of Dr V.Lakshma Reddy as OSD, Anita Rajendra,  IAS, Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries Department, Telangana State was holding the post of Director, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry as an additional charge.

As per the special rules to Animal Husbandry as mentioned in GO Ms No 54 Dated 06th June 1996 of Government of Andhra Pradesh, the post of Director is a Class A Category 1 post and must have put in not less than two years of service as Additional Director of Animal Husbandry and he/she shall be a registered Veterinarian.Since the post of Director is technical in nature, Veterinarians of various service associations of Telangana  State have demanded the appointment of a Veterinarian as Director V&AHD in accordance with  Go Ms No 54 of 06th June 1996.

Vide Memo No 3101 Dated 04/12/2021 of Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries Department, Telangana State,Dr S Ramchander, Managing Director, TSSGDCFL, Hyderabad and additional Director V&AH) (FAC) given full additional charge of the post of Director, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Hyderabad duly relieving Anita Rajendra,  IAS, Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries Department, Telangana State from the said post.
